How does Vivo work?
Everything runs through telehealth. You start with a conversation with a member of the Vivo care team, complete lab work, and an individualized plan is built around your goals and results. Your care and protocol are reviewed and overseen by licensed medical professionals, with treatment and prescribing decisions made by appropriately licensed providers. Follow-up, adjustments and repeat labs happen on a schedule that fits your plan.
Is everything done through telehealth?
Yes. Consultations, plan reviews and follow-ups are virtual. Lab work is done locally at a draw site or with a kit, depending on what is being tested.
What states do you serve?
Vivo operates as a nationwide telehealth practice. Availability in any given state depends on clinician licensure at the time you enroll, so our team will confirm your state when you start.
How do I become a patient?
Start with your new patient intake on the Get Started page. The team follows up from there, and then it is lab work, a provider review and your plan.
Do I need recent blood work, or can Vivo order labs?
Either. Vivo can order labs for you, or you can bring recent results and the clinical team will tell you whether anything additional is needed.
What happens during my first consultation?
A conversation about your goals, your history and what you have already tried, plus what testing makes sense. It is a discussion, not a sales call.
How is my treatment plan determined?
From your goals, history, symptoms and lab results together, with the aim of the simplest plan that fits you. Your care and protocol are reviewed and overseen by licensed medical professionals, with treatment and prescribing decisions made by appropriately licensed providers.
How often are labs repeated?
It depends on the plan. Baseline labs are only the beginning, and what matters is how clinically relevant markers move once treatment begins.
Do you offer hormone therapy for both men and women?
Yes. Men's and women's hormone care are handled differently, because the physiology and the appropriate conversation differ.
Do you work with thyroid issues?
Thyroid function is part of the standard evaluation, because it overlaps with symptoms often attributed to sex hormones.
Do you offer medically supervised weight management?
Yes, as part of metabolic health rather than as a standalone weight-loss product. Treatment is individualized and not everyone is a candidate for every option.
What are peptides and how are they used?
Peptides are a broad category used or investigated for different purposes, from recovery to metabolic health. Evidence, legal status and sourcing vary by compound, which is why selection is individualized and medically supervised.
Where do medications come from?
Vetted U.S. pharmacy partners, including appropriately licensed 503A and 503B compounding facilities where applicable. Sourcing, sterility standards and clinical oversight are things we take seriously.
Can you work alongside my primary care physician?
Yes, and we encourage it. Vivo is not a replacement for primary care.
How are prescriptions and refills handled?
Through your plan and your care team, with adjustments made as your labs and goals change.
Do you work with patients who already have a protocol?
Yes. A second opinion on an existing protocol is a common reason people come to Vivo.
What does it cost to get started?
Getting started with Vivo includes a $200 onboarding and initial consultation fee. Once you become an active Vivo patient by beginning your care through Vivo, ongoing consultations and care-team support are included at no additional charge while you remain active. If you complete onboarding but do not begin care through Vivo, you are not an active patient. Consultations, lab work or care-team access after that point are quoted separately.
Do you accept insurance, and what does treatment go on to cost?
Vivo does not bill insurance. Beyond the onboarding fee, treatment is individualized based on your evaluation, your labs and which services you actually need, so cost is discussed directly with the team rather than published as a menu.
