About Vivo
Built by people who were told their labs were normal.
Vivo exists because we do not believe people should be told to simply accept feeling less than their best.
How Vivo started
The founders went looking for this kind of care, could not find it, and built it.
They came from backgrounds in health, fitness and wellness. In their late twenties they ran into health problems that did not make sense, and answers that did not match what they were living.
We tell it as one story because it was one story. What matters is not who it happened to. It is the standard of care that came out of it.
The longer version
They knew their bodies. They knew something was wrong. Time after time they were told the blood work was normal and everything was fine.
The symptoms reached everything from energy and mood to body composition, hormones and thyroid function. They refused to accept that feeling unwell was simply something to live with.
That pushed them to dig deeper. They educated themselves, pursued additional training and certifications, studied their own blood work, and worked with functional and integrative providers. Answers came, and so did a second realization: how hard it was to find genuinely individualized care that combined medicine, education, lifestyle and long-term optimization rather than treating a number on a lab report.
Eventually they decided to build what they had been searching for, alongside medical professionals who shared that philosophy, and Vivo was born. What started as a solution to a personal health struggle grew into a nationwide organization that has helped thousands of people take a more proactive role in their health.
We challenge the one-size-fits-all approach, look deeper, educate our patients and address the complete picture. The goal is not simply to treat symptoms or prescribe medication. It is to help people understand their bodies and build a healthier future.
What we stand on
Five values, and the first one costs us money sometimes.
Integrity first
We do what is right for the patient, even when it is not the easiest or most profitable option. We recommend what someone actually needs, not simply what we can sell them.
Education empowers
Patients should understand their own health. We explain what we are seeing, what we are recommending and why, so people can make informed decisions instead of following a protocol blindly.
Individualized care
No two people are alike and their care should not be either. We build treatment around the person rather than forcing the person into a standardized protocol.
Adaptability
Health is constantly changing. Stress, work, travel, aging, training and nutrition can all change what someone needs, so we continuously reassess.
Whole-person optimization
Medication is one piece. Sustainable results come from addressing hormones, metabolic health, nutrition, exercise, sleep, recovery, habits and lifestyle together.
Clinical oversight
Vivo is the standard of care, not any one person in it.
Our clinical team includes physicians and other licensed healthcare professionals. We deliberately do not build the brand around individual providers, because we want patients to trust Vivo as an organization and a standard of care rather than feeling their experience depends on one specific person.
Next step
Start where we wish we had started.
With a conversation, and a look at the whole picture.
